Her husband's second wife, with her cooperation, harassed Hagar and her children endlessly. But God is always a friend of the oppressed, and after some time, the unfaithful husband was imprisoned because of these atrocities. This incident may have brought a ray of hope to Hagar's life, but fate had another game up her sleeve.

Now, in this part of our story, the unfaithful husband has been released from prison and has returned to Hagar with his second wife.
